My aim is to connect with others by doing what I love. I listen and customize a look to what you prefer whether it be a naturally enhanced or high-fashion look. No matter what the assignment, my end goal is to ensure my clients leave feeling both satisfied and gorgeous! It’s not just about the quality of the application; it’s about the quality of the experience.

Rhia has always had a sincere passion for the art of make-up. From her very first lipstick at 10 years old, she was fascinated with the transforming physical and psychological effects make-up could have. In high school, she frequently experimented with her own make-up and taught herself different techniques by looking through fashion and beauty magazines.  She soon became the go-to person for doing make-up for family and friends. While in university, she started working part-time for various prestige make-up brands including Estee Lauder, Christian Dior, and Lancome. After completing her BA in Psychology from the University of Waterloo, she still could not suppress her passion. She continued to freelance and work part-time as a Make-up Artist with Inglot Cosmetics while starting her first “real world” full-time job within the financial industry. To build on her self-taught make-up techniques, Rhia has completed make-up courses through Ryerson University and Wink Make-up Academy along with professional make-up artist seminars through MAC Cosmetics.

Today, Rhia specializes in make-up (traditional and airbrush) for bridal, fashion, runway, print, editorial, commercial, headshots, lessons, workshops and special events. She continues her passion and freelance work through her site www.artistrhi.com. She is a proud volunteer with the non-profit organization Look Good Feel Better on a regular basis. When she’s not freelancing or playing make-up, you will find her blogging on artistRhi, answering style and beauty questions for the W Network and giving bridal beauty advice on Toronto Wedding Professionals.
